I was at the Target checkout the other day and had both girls with me in that monster cart! There was a lady with an infant (about a month old) in a carseat sitting in her cart. They were two aisles away. Olivia says "hey mom, that lady must be having lots of babies, because she's really fat!" I wanted to crawl under my cart!!?? I swear everybody within 10 checkouts heard and just stopped talking!? When Olivia said "hey mom", I had turned to look at the baby & the mom, so we made eye contact and I was looking at the baby, until Olivia finished her sentence...then I had to turn back to Olivia and say "Olivia, that was not nice to say". She looked up at me and said "sorry mom". I still wanted to run & hide!

I HATE these situations. And I have yet to figure out a graceful way of handeling them! Let me know if YOU do! =)
wow, that is not a fun place to be in at that moment! But at least she was sorry! :)
No worries babe...someday you can pay her back when you're old and senile (the biggest culprits of comments like that are typically the very young and the very old, wouldn't you say?) ha ha
