My baby is 3!?

Paige standing by her presents. She was so sweet and told everyone "thank you" before opening the present! You would never have guessed that she was up half the night crying about her ear hurting:( Poor thing spent the morning with Woody & urgent care...she had an ear infection!? What a little trooper:) "reading" her card
She was very excited about her baby Ariel
The birthday girl (I'm pretty sure she had just sampled the frosting just before this pic)
Family photo:)

Paige Elizabeth Glines was born at 3:01 pm on September 20th, 2005...three years ago (from last Saturday)! Where has the time gone? She is such a joy to be around! She is FULL of life, energy and happiness:) She is very caring, loving, outgoing, friendly & best of all...cuddley:) She has no personal space & doesn't seem to care that other people might. She is very petite & such a little "bug" (which is what we call her sometimes), but she's also really strong & tough. When she falls or gets hurt, she doesn't cry for long (or at all) & just keeps going. She's also very compliant...which is the complete opposite of her sister!
Her favorite things right now are babies, purses, princesses (particularly Ariel), Barbie & puzzles. She just started school (ECFE) with mommy, which she thinks is SO cool (that she not only gets to go to school, but with mommy too!).

I still call her baby or my baby, which she interprets as "I'm a baby" & proceeds to act like one!!? When the girls are playing, Olivia is usually the mom and Paige is the baby, but lately, they are now playing mommy & big sister:) I do miss the baby stage, but it is fun to see the girls grow up & play together so well (for the most part).

Here are some of her nicknames: Paigey, Paige; baby; little monkey; little bug or bugsy & sometimes our little PITA (pain in the a--).
We love you VERY much, Paigey:)

Kids say the...MOST EMBARRASSING things!!

I was at the Target checkout the other day and had both girls with me in that monster cart! There was a lady with an infant (about a month old) in a carseat sitting in her cart. They were two aisles away. Olivia says "hey mom, that lady must be having lots of babies, because she's really fat!" I wanted to crawl under my cart!!?? I swear everybody within 10 checkouts heard and just stopped talking!? When Olivia said "hey mom", I had turned to look at the baby & the mom, so we made eye contact and I was looking at the baby, until Olivia finished her sentence...then I had to turn back to Olivia and say "Olivia, that was not nice to say". She looked up at me and said "sorry mom". I still wanted to run & hide!

During and after school pictures...

Olivia walked right over to this table and sat down to play...and said "goodbye, mom"...:( I made her take some pictures when we got home too!
She insisted on having one taken without her jacket and backpack...I think she really liked her outfit:)
Hugging her sister:)

First day of preschool...again

Today was Olivia's first day of preschool at the Becker primary school. She was in preschool last year at Kids of the Kingdom. She really loved her teacher and the five kids in her class! It was a perfect way for her to start out in school. For those of you who don't know, Olivia is very shy and it takes her a while to warm up to people or surroundings she is not familiar with. However, I was completely amazed this morning when I dropped her off...she found her cubbie & put her name tag on and walked right over to the playdoh table, sat down next to three other kids & started playing!? I was happy she felt so comfortable:) So instead of her crying as I was leaving, I was crying as I was leaving!? My baby is SO grown up!

Miss Olivia Rose
Sisters:)
Giving me a little "sashey"...actually, she has my purse on her right shoulder & it's a bit heavy:) Walking into school with her BIG backpack!? I'm afraid if it's filled with too much stuff, she may tip over!?

In her classroom with her apple name tag on:)

Fall camping trip

This past weekend, we went camping in Maple Grove (at the KOA) with two other families. There were six adults & six kids (and one in the oven...not mine!). It was a really nice campground, but I'm not gonna lie...it was COLD! We got there Friday around 3:30 pm and it got chilly fast! So the guys went to Walmart to get a space heater for our tent, which didn't work the greatest. Saturday was a beautiful day, but Jason & Frank were looking at the weather (on their laptops & phones!?) and we all decided that we should pack up the tents & head home BEFORE we get soaked! We did not want to be stuck in a cold, wet tent Saturday night & then have to pack up Sunday morning with everything all wet! And boy, am I ever glad we made that decision! I heard it rained pretty good that night in the Maple Grove area. But we were nice and clean & toasty in our beds at home:)

All the kiddos Me and the gurls
Hangin' by the campfire...Mamie, Dan & Sam stopped by!
Paige & I sleeping (and trying to stay warm...notice the space heater by the bed!)
Three sites, three tents, three families & SIX cars (one is missing, because Tami took her kids home for a nap...they live 1.8 miles from the KOA)
We had such a fun time, despite the chilly night!

Busy, busy, busy...

I am in the process of packing things up to go camping for the weekend. We are meeting Woody (and two other families) in Maple Grove at the KOA. I PROMISE when we get back I will post some new pictures from the last couple of weeks!
