Daddy's little fishing budd=)

The girls went up to the cabin last weekend with Woody, while I was having my garage sale. One little girl, in particular, wanted to spend the ENTIRE time fishing with her daddy:) Here are some pics...

My little girl is not so little anymore=(

Olivia just discovered a loose tooth yesterday & today she pulled it out! She was SO excited! Unfortunately we were not with her when it happened...she spent the night at grandma Glines last night & she was in her car with Mary (sitting in the Target parking lot) where she wiggled it right out!? It makes me sad, because she's getting SO grown up WAY TOO FAST!!
Oh yeah, and she's getting 3 out of 4 of her six year molars in!!?? I never even knew these existed, until she said that she felt something in the back of her mouth & I looked and found teeth coming in!?!? Permanent teeth are coming in & baby ones are falling out=(

Sorry, no pictures...just words

I just wanted to share my daily devotion for today from Streams in the Desert (by L.B. Cowman):

Their strength is to sit still. (Isaiah 30:7)

Inner stillness is an absolute necessity to truly knowing God. I remember learning this during a time of great crisis in my life. My entire being seemed to throb with anxiety, and the sense of need for immediate and powerful action was overwhelming. Yet the circumstances were such that I could do nothing, and the person who could have helped would not move.
For a time it seemed as if I would fall to pieces due to my inner turmoil. Then suddenly "a still small voice" (1 Kings 19:12) whispered in the depths of my soul, "Be still, and know that I am God" (Ps. 46:10). The words were spoken with power and I obeyed. I composed myself, bringing my body to complete stillness, and forced my troubled spirit into quietness. Only then, while looking up and waiting, did I know that it was God who had spoken. He was in the midst of my crisis and my helplessness, and I rested in Him.
This was an experience I would not have missed for anything. I would also say it was from the stillness that the power seemed to arise to deal with the crisis, and that very quickly brought it to a successful resolution. It was during that crisis I effectively learned that my "strength is to sit still." Hannah Whitall Smith
There is a perfect passivity that is not laziness. It is a living stillness born of trust. Quiet tension is not trust but simply compressed anxiety.

Valentine's weekend

Watching Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus in 3D

The girls with their new Bitty Twins...can you see the excitement?! Olivia anyway, Paige had just thrown up:(
Our room at the Embassy Suites:)Olivia shopping around at the American Girl store

Taking Bitty baby for a walk - trying to decide if she wants her or not!? It's a BIG decision & that store is WAY overwhelming - even for adults!?

Me & my girlies=)

Waiting in a LONG line (20 min. to be exact) for a two minute Deigo bus ride! Note-to-self...don't go to the MOA on the weekend - particularly the Nikelodeon park!Meeting Blue - the girls reversed rolls...Paige looks like the shy one!!?

Our heart-shaped pizza=)

The cake (with pink frosting & sprinkles) that we made for daddy:)

We had a great Valentine's weekend! I got to go shopping ALL BY MYSELF & go tanning, then I picked up a Papa Murphy's heart-shaped pizza to have for dinner with the girls! They absolutely LOVE PM pizza (actually their favorite thing is the cheese bread)! We also made a cake for Woody:) On Sunday we took the girls to the Mall of America. We went on some rides, met my parents for lunch, then took the girls to the American Girl store! Olivia really wanted to get the matching pajama's that her doll Ruthie has & Paige wanted Bitty baby...well, they got caught up in the moment at the store & ended up with the Bitty Twins - one has blond hair, blue eyes and the other has brown hair, brown eyes! And they are CONSTANTLY playing with them & switching mommy roles too!? It is so fun to watch them!

From the mall, my parents took the girls overnight & Woody & I went to a hotel by the MOA. We ordered room service, had some wine, watched a movie & just enjoyed being together!

Olivia's new hair for the New Year:)

I know, I know...WHY did we agree to cut it?! I would give anything to have her hair! But she has been asking for a long time to get a "bob" cut & we told her she had to wait until she turned 5. The last time time we cut her hair this short was when she was 2! So the good news is, it will be back in a couple of years:)

Before...During...

After (with her blue tongue and all! gotta love the suckers at this place!)...
In the car on the way to show daddy:) I thought she looked like Kitt Kittridge & she LOVED that comment!

Today, after I styled it...

Christmas Day with the Glines family

The Glines family came to our house for Christmas dinner & afterwards we openned gifts. The food was all really good & we all had a lot of fun!

This is the main table, which seats 8; there was another one in the foyer & the kiddos ate at the kitchen table. Before we openned gifts, the kids sang a few Christmas songs for us:)

Paigey

Olivia and her new digital camera! She's already taken almost 200 pictures...of the ceiling, the floor, the walls & a bunch of other questionable stuff!?
The whole family:)
